Safely visible in the smallest of spaces: SIGMA presents the HIRO 70
The rear light impresses with its compact design and modern COB technology, which produces a powerful, even light. With its clever brake and emergency stop light function, it ensures greater attention and safety in road traffic. Thanks to the flexible mounting on the seat post – whether vertical or horizontal – it fits effortlessly on any bike frame and makes every ride a little safer.
Neustadt an der Weinstraße September 2025 With the new HIRO 70, SIGMA presents a rear light that intelligently combines high safety with minimal size. The compact light uses modern COB technology to generate a homogeneous light surface with visibility of up to 500 metres – supplemented by an integrated brake and emergency brake light function, which creates additional attention in road traffic. With lateral visibility of 240°, a clever bracket for vertical and horizontal mounting, an AUTO mode that switches the light on and off automatically depending on the light conditions and a battery life of 6 hours, the HIRO 70 is ideal for everyday and city bikes – and especially for users who don’t want to compromise on safety when space is at a premium.

Small but eye-catching – thanks to COB technology
The chip-on-board technology (COB) used utilises 20 LEDs close together on a circuit board to create a uniform, point-free light surface. This technology ensures wide light distribution in a compact design, uniform brightness from different viewing angles, high energy efficiency and effective heat dissipation. Thanks to its very compact shape, the HIRO 70 can be integrated particularly discreetly into the bike – without compromising on visibility.
Brake light & emergency brake light – double warning effect
The HIRO 70 has two safety functions that actively contribute to accident prevention:
- Brake light: During normal braking, two additional LEDs light up clearly for about one second. This signals to following traffic that the bike is braking.
- Emergency brake light: If the electronic system detects abrupt emergency braking, the two LEDs start to flash for approx. one second instead. This flashing warning signal significantly increases the attention of traffic behind – especially in sudden dangerous situations.
Both functions ensure significantly increased safety in road traffic, especially when driving in urban areas, in the dark or in poor visibility conditions.

Flexible mounting – vertical or horizontal
Thanks to the practical quick-release system, the HIRO 70 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally on the seat post. This means that the light can be optimally adapted to different frame shapes or accessories such as pannier racks – without any tools and in just a few seconds.
