General Description of the Service
The website of SIGMA-ELEKTRO GmbH enables users to obtain information about products and services, get in touch with us, and place orders or bookings directly online.
Applicable Legal Requirements
Digital services are subject to the requirements of Section 14 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) in conjunction with Section 3 (1) BFSG and the Regulation on the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV).
Implementation of Accessibility Requirements
The assessment is based on a self-evaluation carried out with the support of the accessibility tool provided by AccessGO.
Based on this review, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.
Specifically, the following aspects are not yet fully compliant with the accessibility requirements applicable to us:
- Focusable elements in the tab order have a role that is not suitable for interactive content.
- Similar landmarks do not have unique names and therefore cannot be distinguished from one another by screen reader users.
- The keyboard focus order (tabindex) has been manually overridden, which may result in unexpected and confusing navigation for keyboard users.
- The alternative text of an image is too short and does not describe the content sufficiently for visually impaired users.
Note on PDF Files
Some PDF documents provided on the website, such as user manuals, declarations of conformity, energy labels, and certificates, are currently not fully accessible.
Some of these files have structural and technical limitations, including missing heading structures, undefined reading orders, missing alternative text for graphic content, or untagged tables. As a result, they can only be used to a limited extent with assistive technologies.
For organizational and economic reasons, we are currently unable to provide all existing PDF documents in a fully accessible format. However, we will make every effort to publish new documents in an accessible format wherever possible in the future.

Addition to the Accessibility Statement
Our website offers the accessibility plugin AccessGO (www.accessgo.de), provided by DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH.
This plugin allows users to adapt our website to their individual impairments or preferences.
The settings can be accessed via the AccessGO icon or, alternatively, by using the keyboard shortcut “ALT + 1”. All functions can also be operated using the keyboard.
Among other things, the plugin makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:
- Font size
- Contrast
- Highlighting of links
- Activation of a screen reader
- Use of profiles to activate several settings at the same time
