SIGMA introduces the SMART LIGHT SERIES with new AURA, BUSTER and NYTE models
New lighting concept combines easy-to-use bicycle lights with smart connectivity and more options for different bikes and riding situations.
Neustadt an der Weinstraße, 30 September 2026 – SIGMA is introducing its SMART LIGHT SERIES to international markets, bringing together new front and rear lights, smart connectivity and matching accessories in a clearly structured range. At its core are the ECO SERIES for straightforward, reliable bicycle lighting and the LINK SERIES for connected lighting solutions with additional smart functions. Following the launch of the new AURA models at the end of August 2026, SIGMA is now expanding the range with a new generation of BUSTER lights as well as new NYTE rear lights. New lighting sets and accessories provide further options for adapting the lighting system to the bike, riding style and individual requirements.
SMART LIGHT SERIES: simple lighting, smart possibilities
With the new SMART LIGHT SERIES, SIGMA brings its bicycle lighting portfolio together under a clear concept for different requirements. The CORE SERIES focuses on straightforward, reliable bicycle lighting and easy operation. The LINK SERIES takes lighting a step further: LINK-enabled front and rear lights can be connected to form a coordinated lighting system. With the exception of the AURA 100 LINK, LINK SERIES models also connect to the SIGMA RIDE app, opening up additional possibilities for individual configuration and smart functions.
The SMART LIGHT SERIES follows the SIGMA philosophy SIMPLY. GOOD. CYCLING. Technology should make cycling easier and better – without making it more complicated.
AURA 170 HB LINK and AURA 120 LINK lead the new AURA generation
Available since end of August, the AURA 170 HB LINK and AURA 120 LINK demonstrate what the new LINK SERIES is all about. At the top of the range, the AURA 170 HB LINK combines powerful road illumination with HIGH BEAM, LINK connectivity and convenient control via REMOTE HB. The AURA 120 LINK combines strong, homogeneous illumination with smart connectivity and individual configuration via the SIGMA RIDE app. The AURA 90 and AURA 70 complete the new generation with reliable lighting solutions for everyday riding.
New BUSTER generation: powerful light meets smart connectivity
The new BUSTER generation adds three lights for sporty riding in the dark: BUSTER 1700 LINK, BUSTER 900 LINK and BUSTER 160. The new models are available internationally as front lights or helmet lights. In Germany, the BUSTER models are offered exclusively as helmet lights.
Leading the range is the BUSTER 1700 LINK. With 1700 lumens and a beam range of up to 210 metres, it is designed for demanding rides in the dark. LINK connectivity and SIGMA RIDE app integration add smart functions to its strong light output. The included REMOTE ONE provides convenient handlebar control and can also trigger an acoustic signal on the BUSTER 1700 LINK.
The BUSTER 900 LINK delivers up to 900 lumens and a beam range of 180 metres, combined with LINK and SIGMA RIDE app connectivity. It can be connected to compatible SIGMA LINK rear lights, while the optionally available REMOTE ONE adds convenient control directly from the handlebar.
The compact BUSTER 160 rounds off the new generation with up to 160 lumens and a beam range of up to 75 metres. Five lighting modes and five preset mode profiles provide flexibility for different rides, while MODE MEMORY recalls the last setting used. With a runtime of up to 24 hours, the BUSTER 160 also offers plenty of endurance for longer rides.
More than connected lighting
The SIGMA RIDE app extends the possibilities of compatible SIGMA LINK products beyond basic light control. Depending on the connected product, users can configure settings and lighting modes, check battery information or install firmware updates. At the same time, the app is part of the wider SIGMA ecosystem, offering functions such as navigation and, in combination with the RECO radar, a digital rear-view mirror. Compatible REMOTES add convenient control directly from the handlebar.

Three new NYTE rear lights expand the range
At the rear, the NYTE 50 LINK, NYTE 50 and NYTE 30 join the already available NYTE 10 and NYTE 70. Building on established SIGMA rear lights such as SIGMA INFINITY and BLAZE FLASH, the new generation offers more choice in lighting modes, longer runtimes and enhanced visibility, while LINK connectivity brings smart networking to the range.
The NYTE 50 LINK is the smart highlight of the new models, connecting to compatible LINK front lights and the SIGMA RIDE app while adding brake and emergency brake light functions. The NYTE 50 offers brake and emergency brake light functions without smart connectivity, while the compact NYTE 30 provides five lighting modes, including three FLASH modes, and up to 28 hours of runtime.
More combinations, more possibilities
New lighting sets complement the individual products and combine selected SIGMA front, helmet and rear lights for different riding situations. Together with matching accessories, they provide even more options for choosing and configuring a lighting solution to suit the bike and individual use. Availability & RRP
The new BUSTER and NYTE models are available from 30 September 2026, while the new lighting sets will follow in stages. The AURA 170 HB LINK, AURA 120 LINK, AURA 90 and AURA 70 have been available since the end of August 2026.
