Vom Fahrrad ohne Bremsen zum Profiradsportler beim deutschen UCI Continental Team <a href=\"https:\/\/bikeaid.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Aid<\/a>. Klingt fast wie ein M\u00e4rchen, k\u00f6nnte vielleicht auch eines sein, ist aber das echte Leben von Salim Kipkemboi. Als sich das kenianische Ausnahmetalent im Sommer 2021 bei seinem Team im saarl\u00e4ndischen Blieskastel aufgehalten hat, nutzte er die Zeit zum Trainieren oder um an Wettk\u00e4mpfen teilzunehmen. Wir haben nat\u00fcrlich die Gelegenheit genutzt und ihn besucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Leidenschaft und Freude, aber auch die Konzentration und Genauigkeit, die Salim Kipkemboi ausstrahlt w\u00e4hrend er trainiert, sind beeindruckend. Dabei ist er immer f\u00fcr einen Spa\u00df zu haben und wirkt gleichzeitig doch Bescheiden. Manchmal k\u00f6nnte sogar die Idee aufkommen, dass er selbst noch gar nicht glauben kann, wie sich sein Leben ver\u00e4ndert hat. Wie kam es also dazu, dass der Kenianer ein Rad ohne Bremsen gegen ein Profi-Bike eingetauscht hat?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alles begann mit der &#8220;Black Mamba&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eEines Tages sa\u00df ich in Kenia am Stra\u00dfenrand und verkaufte Feuerholz\u201c, so Kipkemboi. \u201eDann kamen auf einmal einige Radsportler vorbei und in dem Moment sagte ich mir: ,Warum fahre ich ihnen nicht einfach hinterher?\u2018\u201c Er nahm sich die \u201eBlack Mamba\u201c \u2013 ein Fahrrad ohne Gangschaltung und ohne Bremsen \u2013 eines Freundes und folgte den Radsportlern. In einem 2.1-Rennen war er der erste kenianische Radrennfahrer, der jemals ein internationales Profi-Radrennen gewonnen hat. Es war so fantastisch, dabei gewesen zu sein!<\/p><p><\/p><cite>Teamkollege Nikodemus Holler<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Traum von Salim Kipkemboi ist es gegen Weltklasse-Fahrer in einer Grand Tour anzutreten. Nach seiner beeindruckenden Geschichte sollte diesem Ziel eigentlich nichts im Weg stehen.
